PS4 Text on Panasonic Plasma looks jagged and unreadable.

Hey guys,
Just got my GTAV PS4 black friday bundle and I'm noticing that the homescreen UI and game texts are horribly jagged and unclear. I can barely read anything. Iv'e tried researching this but every solution im finding has to do with updating a Sony Bravio TV firmware. I have a Panasonic 42 inch 720p Plasma from 2008. I never had this problem on my 360. Iv'e tried messing with TV settings and the PS4 settings but nothing seems to work. Is this problem due to my TV being only 720p? Again, I didn't have this problem with my xbox 360 so Im not sure why my TV would cause this with the PS4 but I could be wrong. Any help and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thats the model I have. I actually attempted to do update the firmware but it didn't work. I saved the file to a sd card and inserted it into my TV but when I went into the SD card menu it only showed me my pictures that are on the SD card. I can't figure out how to get it to actually update. There are no instructions that I can find either.

Does your TV have a USB port? Here is a link to directions on how to reset your TV to Factory. !!!!WARNING!!!!! Unfortunately no, it does not. Why would I want to reset my TV to factory though? Am I able to upgrade the firmware easily from that screen or something?

Download the manual and read where it tells you how to update firmware. I am sure you will have to locate an option that says something about updating firmware. You can't just access the SD card and start the firmware update.

Already checked the manual and there is nothing in there at all that talks about updating the firmware.

Maybe try copying all the pictures off your SD card, then wiping the SD card clean, put the update file on it and try again.

I might try that later. Could this be happening though because of the resolution of my TV being 720p? It might be time to get a new TV anyways but just want to see if that could be the reason before I spend some money on a new one.
