If my understanding is correct, don't you only get free games if you have a Playstation Plus account that you subscribe to? If so, you're actually paying for them in that continuous subscription charge…! Nothing in this world comes for free…! As someone who has never ventured online with my PS3, I could very well be wrong about this and will stand corrected if necessary.
Like ash2014uk, I'm waiting for better bundles to come along and I still believe we will probably see the start of them before the year is out. I'm not even bothering looking until at least the back end of September due to other financial commitments in the meantime. That's when I'll start seriously shopping around. For instance, if I'm to pay in the region of £400 for a bundle (most are at this price or upwards of this to the best of my knowledge), I'd expect a few games thrown in for that price. Not just one. Or if it's just the one game, maybe a price tag at the £300-350 mark – about the value the standard console on it's own is in the UK as things stand. I really don't want to pay much more than £250 for the bare/basic console. That's my aim as things stand (obviously subject to change). As I've said before, I do have a £50 Amazon voucher from last Christmas which still remains unused. That'll take the 'sting' away but as things stand even using that, it's still more than what I'm willing to pay.
Again, I don't deny the PS4's value even as things stand for those who use them regularly and/or online, but for my own use as a simple plug in and play console that’ll get used maybe a couple of times a week, it's just too expensive. I want to give this online malarkey a try just to see (mainly for DLC's) but for someone who has very little interest in multiplayer titles and has no intention of signing up to subscriptions, there's only so much it'll be useful to me for… This is why I say if there was ever a 'PS4 Lite', a PS4 that has the same basic ability for disc gaming without the added garnish, I'd happily go for that over the full-blown model...

Exclusives don't bother me and the word exclusive seems to be meaning a lot less these days.
In situations like that where exclusive Xbox games interest me – I simply 'cheat' and watch a walkthrough of it on YouTube as and when I have the spare time. If it interests me, I'll watch most of not all the game. If I don't think it's much good, then I'll probably only watch a couple of hour's worth, just to give it a fair chance…
The Xbox One does have the better exclusives as things stand. I think most of the sensible posters amongst us will happily accept that. It has been a very slow start for the PS4 on that front, but I have little doubt it’ll catch up and properly pass it's rival in another twelve months. To be fair though, exclusives isn't everything to a console for me and it doesn't even cross my mind as someone who has yet to get a PS4. It'll be a PS4 that I'll buy and that's the end of the discussion! For instance going to back to my YouTube comment above, I watched about forty minutes of Titanfall and was bored for most of that time…
