I've just got this headset today, currently charging. Stupid question, but I know you need to change settings on console to make sound come from headset, but what if you game without the headset sometimes. Do you need to keep changing the sound settings backwards and forwards to TV speakers/headset?

No, it's enough to turn off the headset and the speakers will be active automatically.
