Controller or Mouse and Keyboard?

What do you actually prefer on a pc using a controller or possibly using a mouse or keyboard? i think m&k are to complicated and i don't do well using them :(

I have never tried a controller on my pc games, I will soon tho. I think I'll stick with the keyboard and mouse, as its more easier to most of the games that I play.

It really depends of what game i am playing. If you are playing a FPS game, you got to go with Keyboard+Mouse combo, but if you are going to play a fighting game or plataformer, go with a controller.

Actually, most players who play fighting games prefer fight sticks to controllers (fight sticks are portable versions of the traditional inputs found on arcade games). I agree about it being game-dependent. Usually I prefer controllers, though there are some PC games where I need to use the keyboard to have it make any sense. In StarCraft, you need those hot keys if you're going to accomplish anything.

I've heard the arguments for mouse & keyboard, but honestly? When you grow up playing games on consoles with controllers, adapting to mouse & keyboard is almost impossible. It's just too different and weird for my tastes. I'm more comfortable with a controller, and as such I play most of my PC games with a controller.

I've always loved using controllers just because they are so easy to use. All of the buttons that you need are right there and it's just more convenient to hold for long periods of time. I however prefer a keyboard and mouse, just because I like the feel of it more. It feels like a little more work to control the characters in the game and therefore makes it more enjoyable I think.

I always prefer a controller over mouse and keyboard. I even have a controller for my PC so I don't have to use the keyboard and mouse.

I just don't feel comfortable using the keys for playing games when I could have the comfort of using a controller.

This. A game like COD is much more fun when played with a mouse and controller but on the other hand people playing a game like FIFA with an M & K will always be at a disadvantage against someone with a controller. The choice is very game specific and not catch all.

I deep down prefer mouse and keyboard, but I mainly use controller. With a mouse and keyboard, you are more accurate when aiming to your target. You get full control because it's your whole hand rather than just your thumb. However, I mainly just use controllers since I use consoles rather than PC.

Really depends on what game I'm playing and if I have the choice between the two. If I was say playing a something like Payday 2 then I would prefer to stick with the mouse and keyboard but when I play Burnout Paradise I will always use a controller because it's more convient and easier.

I am officially retiring from using a mouse and keyboard for games. It was not meant to be. My arm gets sore from using a mouse all day at work, I don't need to use it more while gaming at home. And I type almost all day too, so I want a break from keyboards. I've always preferred an actual controller and I think most people feel the same way.

I prefer mouse and keyboard for anything, mainly because I'm used to PC gaming and only recently am I getting into console gaming. I feel like a keyboard is more natural, but a lot of people seem to argue the opposite, and that a keyboard is completely unnatural.

But don't you get sore from using the mouse and keyboard? I wouldn't be surprised if you hardcore PC gamers ended up with carpal tunnel syndrome. I use the mouse at work all day and my shoulder aches by the end of my 8 hour shift. We were not meant to hold our hands on mice all day. It is not ergonomically proper like a controller is.

I actually like mouse and keyboard more so for FPS type games but when it comes to racing games.. You just can't beat a controller or a steering wheel and foot petals.

I've heard that you can't beat mouse and keyboard, but it is not for me. I am a classic controller kinda guy. I'm sure if I played more PC games I would appreciate the mouse and keyboard configuration more, but sadly, that is not the case.

I would always prefer Keyboard and mouse over controllers when it comes to shooter games as I am primarily a PC gamer.
