Can the SSD read and write speeds slow down when the drive gets near full?

I’ve heard some say that this is just a myth and I heard some say that it slows down both read and write speed but the most popular answer I have heard is that read speed is unaffected by write speed and slow down. Is this true?

Uh. Sort of. The SSDs degrade over time. But not because it goes full, but because of the compute. If you frequently save to the SSD and/or delete from the SSD, it counts as "read and write" or the words separately (i.e. "read" and "write.") So, yes it does go from good to bad, but this is because of the lifecycle of the SSD. Some have 10 years, some have 20 years.
