What are you listening to?

I'm listening to the OST of the indie movie Once. I rewatched it again with subs and I missed their fresh and original melody. The Oscar-winning song Falling Slowly is from that movie, and the singers also acted in it.

I actually just discovered this one song by Whale called "Hatelove Thing". It has a chilled smooth vibe to it and his lyrics are unique. Aside from that, I normally listen to electronic artists such as DJ Tiesto, DJ Krush, DJ Vinrock, Hint, Anenon and Felix Da Housecat. I'm not really that much into mainstream music ha.

I like many types, from some of that techno dance oomph oomph stuff..lol to Meta,Rock,Retro 80's,70's and some 50's and 60's.But NO country/western.
Fav bands though would be The Sweet,Def Leppard among others but above all Nirvana.

I'm listening to a bit of Imagine Dragons now a days. Their song Radioactive really brought them into spotlight. They're pretty new and most of their songs are quite good. Definitely worth a listen.

I thought I was the only person that only recently discovered Imagine Dragons ha. But yea I would consider them to be among the better modern bands of today's time and age. I also discovered them from a movie trailer with their song "Radioactive". It is a pretty catchy song and I frequently listen to it while I work out. :)

I tried to post the link but it would not work as I have under 30 posts!

I am currently listening to Default by Atoms for Peace.

This entire album is unbelievable. Thom Yorke is like the next stage of human evolution. i also recommend his first album outside of the radiohead ones: The Eraser. Listen to these albums now and thank me later.

The last song I listened to was Time to Make History from the Persona 4 Golden soundtrack. I am unsure of the artist's name, but it is a really catchy tune, and works well as the battle theme for P4G.

Right now, I've got a song stuck in my head that I listened to on the radio yesterday.

Three Days Grace - The Mistake You Can't Live Without.

Right now: Stone Temple Pilots - Wicked Garden

I've been on a Grunge kick lately. Honestly, if given the task of teaching a class on Grunge, I'm pretty sure I could do it. I feel like I have some unique perspectives on the genre that even most Grunge fans don't typically share. For instance, I think this genre has a lot more in common with folk music than it does with punk -- which is often cited as a huge source of inspiration. If that's the case, explain the way Kurt belts out Where Did You Sleep Last Night; explain songs like Atlanta and Pretty Penny from STP; explain the thorough use of blues notes, the refusal to adhere to typical rules, the unimportance of remembering lines, the repetitive nature of the basic lyrical structure within the genre? It's hard to reconcile all of this by just saying "well, obviously it's Punk inspired."

I listen to a lot of different music, and I have a lot of favorites. Right now I am listening to Nightwish, but I sometimes listen to Disturbed. If I'm feeling moody I will listen to some Sade. I have recently started listening to Two Steps From Hell. I just love their album Invincible it is awesome.

Listening to Megadeth's latest "Super Collider". While not their best album songs like Blackest Crow and The Thin Lizzy cover Cold Sweat make it a worth while.

Well for a specific song it would be Lucky boy by DJ Medhi, but i really like listening to my Human After All by Daft Punk Pandora radio station. Always some nice songs on it :P

I have been listening to Pandora radio and I have discovered a lot of good music there. I don't really have a specific genre I listen to but Pandora has managed to introduce me to artist I had not heard before. I like what I hear and I am looking to buy the albums of some of the artists I hear on Pandora. I tell a lot of people about it because I like it so much. Some of them already listen to Pandora, but there ate some who don't. I have heard of other internet radio stations like Pandora, but I have not been tempted to try them out. I think I will just stick with what works for me.

Muse's album The 2nd Law. Some of the songs are just meh, but I really like a couple of them.

I have a new favorite now. Apocalyptica. Their music is so awesome. I love how they are able to combine rock with cello. I like all their music and I am thinking of making a new mix cd with nothing but their songs. I think it will be great. I will also see about mixing them with two steps from hell. That will be an interesting combination.

I've been listening mostly to cover songs. Powerman 5000 released a great cover CD. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are pretty rad as well. If it hasn't been cover songs, it's been Jay-Z. I can't get enough of the new CD.

If no one is listening to Sub Focus - Tidal Wave & Turn it Around then you are missing out... These are tunes that I can listen to whenever or whatever mood I am in. If you're into dance, electro, dnb type stuff you might really like this musician. I'm not bored of either yet!
