Should I just keep playing gun game?

i was reading a post about how if you wanna go mlg someday to stick to certain guns or games you're naturally good at. On advanced warfare I don't suck at free for all, but I'm certainly not the best. However, I gun game comes so naturally to me and I hardly lose any games. Is that enough to make it pro, to be good at one game mode, or do I need to become better all around?
