PS5 problem

Hi guys. I have just purchased my PS5 and set it up. However. When I press the ps button ..the lower panel pops up then disappears straight away. When it doesn't disappear I can cycle through to the power option. Press it and it disappears as soon as it opens. My controller won't turn the console off either.

I m resorting the pulling the power keabd out (which I know is not ideal)

Can any of you help me with these issues.
