I’m curious if anyone has an idea if the issue in the attached video is a game related issue or a PS5 hardware issue?
Issue:
When trying to load madden it stutters none stop. It takes 15 minutes plus to get to the menu, if not longer. The game never really crashes or fully freezes, just constantly stutters/momentary freezes.
Details:
1. I received my PS5 on Wednesday, played the game for a while on Thursday am (about an hour or so). The game was a little stuttery while playing, but chalked that up to possible poor internet quality (40mbps).
2. I stopped playing to grab lunch, and installed my RDR2 from the disc while I ate. When I came back to try and play madden, the issue in the video began. This issue has not stopped since.
3. I’ve played RDR2 and COD without issue, although they are PS4 versions.
Steps Taken:
1. Basically everything I can find online, all the way to complete reset of the PS5, reinstalled everything, and the issue does not resolve.
2. Replaced the game disc.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? It’s odd that it is only Madden, which makes me think it’s an issue with the game. However, it still occurs even after replacing the game disc. I’m not sure if I need to contact Sony, or what I should do at this point. Any suggestions?Video of issue
