Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right thread.
I've had my PlayStation console since January 2023 (9 months now). During this time, I've encountered an issue where my console won't turn on from time to time, approximately once a month. Right from the start, I've noticed a peculiar routine for turning it on - I always have to press the power button on the console (and hear a beep) before switching the input on my TV and/or pressing the PS button on my controller. If I only press the PS button on my controller or just change the TV input, the PS5 won't turn on. This is different from my friends' experiences; they can simply use one of these methods without having to press the button on the console.
However, the main problem is that occasionally, even after I press the power button on the console and go through the TV input change or controller button press, the console won't start. I hear the beep when I press the console button, but that's all. I've tried various solutions I found on the internet, but nothing seems to work. Typically, this issue takes about a day to resolve. Even if I unplug all the cables from the console, wait for 20 minutes or an hour, there's no change. Strangely, when I leave the console unplugged overnight and try again the next day, it starts working.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? My TV is a 55" LG 55NANO86.
I'm also including a link to a YouTube video demonstrating this issue. -
Thank you all for your help.
Regards,
David
