Just picked up dragon age inquisition

Okay guys. So I've started playing this game again but on hard with a Mage instead of a rouge.
The story feels very much different. It's like they added special scenes for different characters. Half of the stuff I'm experiencing now, I haven't experienced with my first character. This time I'm going to do as much as I can in each land and see how long this game will take to complete entirely.
I usually never replay games, but this one is worth it!

Every playthrough can be different. There's 45 endings to this game so the game can be different each time eve if it follows one linear path in the beginning.

Thanks for the tips, i am getting to grips with it slowly, there is so much to do and read i can see it is going to be played a lot over the Christmas period.

Well not as much as i had originally intended :grin

The wife is at work today and i have been struggling on one particular mission (is that the word) and am determined to beat it today, as a famous fellow once said "i may be some time"

Okay guys. So I've started playing this game again ...

Sekelani, show us yer face! Of your new character, that is. I am taking way too long to finish the game, about what level were you when you finished? Open question for anybody, really, who'd like to answer.

I am 25% into the game and seem to have spent many hours on it, is there a way of seeing how long i have actually played the game? (i am new to PS4)

I think it's on your save file. For example, (in the save menu) my most recent save says "Save - The Western Approach - 77:07" which I take to mean I've played 77 hours, 7 minutes.

By the way, Max, what does your character look like? Mine's on page 2.

Its bog standard, I messed up and made my character an archer, i decided to start a new game and for some reason i did not get the option to change the look of the character but i have changed from an archer.

I'll post a photo of her face to yall when I get back home .
I finished the game on level 18. I started again and I'm doing more quests and exploration than I did before.how far are you?

Mine says 44 hours and i have only completed 26%, i don't collect shards but do most of the other challenges, does that sound about right.

Yeah. I was about 50% through story and 50-70 hours in for the longest time just due to exploration and trying to collect everything I could find. I still haven't completed a single mosaic picture though.

I have finished this game! Guys, what a game!! Fantastic!! :-:

I will try to get the platinum now, by re-playing it from the beginning on nightmare difficulty. I only miss a few trophies to obtain them all.

To answer to Negative Zero: I ended it on level 22 after ca. 200 hours of playing.

*edit*
Multiplayer is very amusing too. It consists of several co-op quests from 1 to 4 players together. With 10 characters available to grow and get powerful with weapons and armors. On high difficulty levels is a real challenge: we need a lot of strategy and a real cooperation among players, starting from the character selection untill the weapon used for every enemy. Feel free to add me so we can play some sessions together.

200 hours, looks like i will be playing this for several weeks .

Max, all depends on how much time you use to accomplish the secondary quests, to talk to all characters, to create armors and weapons, to kill dragons, etc. (for example, to kill a dragon might take half an hour). If you go straight throu the main story only, it might require 40 hours or so. I finished the story, but I still haven't done everything, I still miss mosaics for example.

Question with spoiler (do not keep reading unless you have beaten the game)

Alex, you have something like game+?, I just arrived at skyhold and have a lot of power to continue to save you know who (30 power points at the very start of skyhold) it is very tempting to move o with the story... if I have game plus I'll do one thing if I don't...

PS we should start a thread with theorycraft of the game with open spoilers and what you do or what happens if you do this or that (ie what happens if u ditch sera the crazy ass elf)

Alex, you have something like game+?

No Nubosis, DAI doesn't have a game+ (like Dragon's Dogma). When you end the main story, you will have time to finish all side quests and duties (unless you haven't yet before playing the last main quest) and to concentrate, if you like, on trophies. I kept my first saving to obtain more trophies, but meanwhile I started over a new story, with a different character and a higher difficulty.

Warning because when you play & finish the last main quest, and depending on the decisions you took during the story...

you loose some of your characters and they will not be available in combat anymore
