Is there anything major missing from the PS4?

Media player is missing, you cant play mp3 or video files.
Lack of good games.

Other than that its great.

I bought my PS4 to play PS4 games, and last time I checked it does that rather well so I am happy with it and wouldn't change a thing, unless they improve load times and such to the games.

I never felt backward compatibility is necessary or important, dont know why some people make a big deal out of it.

Some people had a generation or two of backwards compatibility and came to think of it as the norm, when really those were the exceptions..

Second place goes to the YouTube app. I understand that takes some time and it's coming though. I have to use youtube.com/tv when using the browser.

For a console, I would say that the PlayStation 4 is complete. The PS4 has all the bells and whistles you could want in a gaming console. I couldn't imagine what else you would want at a price point of $399, if you do want some more functionality, buy a PC.

The sky go app is something they should look in to to be honest.
They have one on the xbox and i liked that on the 360 as it made it easy to watch my programmes while upstairs!

It doesnt bother me much, but when GTA V and future GTAs releases, the lack of MP3 support will be too obvious.

Media Features

I'm a patient person (I did buy a PS4 without games as I knew the good games would be coming in Summers) but I was really hoping for the media fixes. In the meantime, PS3 remains my media console of choice.
