HELP! Playstation stopped working

I'm reaching out as I don't know where to start with this.
We've had our Playstation 5 for just 18 months and it gave a 'pft' noise and stopped working.
GAME and SONY are both walking away from supporting as it's out of it's 12 month warranty, but surely consoles should be reasonably expected to last longer than this?

If your particular PS5 is out of warranty, then you pay for the repair. Do it. Call Sony and get it fixed.
