Has anyone played it on PC?

While DayZ is yet to launch on PC, you can still get access to it through Steam Early Access - one of the featured only available for PC gamers. Has anyone tried it? What it's like on PC?

It's fun, but really glitchy. Zombies need a ton more work and some douches just shoot you on sight, which is just kinda dumb. The friendly/weird people make the game fun though.

By the way has game been confirmed to launch on PS4? We've only heard rumors it's being ported and no official statement has been given as far as I know.

I hope that any of these survival games come to our platforms too instead of just being on PC. I will take whatever I can. If H1Z1 launches first, I am all for it.

I thought that DayZ had been out for some time already?

For PC, it is. It's still technically not in full release yet. Infinite beta I guess?
Anyway, yeah I think H1Z1 releases before DayZ. And that's assuming this is ported to PS4. That'll probably take a while as well. We do need a good survival game. That's one genre devs aren't really targeting as far as console games go.

Look, this game is never gonna happen on consoles. The consoles will kill themselves trying to run this one. Moreover, the dev is not very keen on making this game for 3rd tier hardware.

Infinite Beta...so it's Minecraft eh?

Pretty much. It's basically an excuse for not enough bug fixes and content updates (seriously. Notch took forever rolling out content for Minecraft).

Dean Hall did mention it's a possibility but wouldn't elaborate further. I still doubt it happens though.

To be fair mind, Notch was working by himself by a lot of the development time for Minecraft. Even at its peak, there was only a handful of people working on the game. Although when Notch took a back seat, the updates came quite a bit sooner.

DayZ is Highly addictive and takes time getting used to. You can learn stuff about playing day z by thinking about real life and what you would do in that situation. Once you can get good at it, it becomes fun. Its about one of the Best zombies games ever the hyper realism makes you coming back for more its so difficult the zombies are scary and one moment I found myself In a grocery store with zombies surrounding all the windows. SCARY!! This game is recommended to anyone with good enough computer specs. Its Easily One of the best zombies Simulators ever.

I have played it via steam and I have to say that the game is pretty fun. It is definitely the most realistic zombie survival game that I have played to date and it's totally worth the money. It will probably be awhile till it is on the PlayStation 4 though as the last time I played the game it was very demanding even on a high end gaming PC, but that was a good while ago. Maybe the developers have optimized the game since then.

If you play it alone it's cool but if you're playing with friends it's amazing! You can make your crew, raid the cities, gather supplies so it's all more fun if you're with friends.

I'm under the impression that the beta hasn't even officially started, they are technically in alpha still? Eh... Im not 100% sure I just remember this being one of those interesting cases that the market is making a case for this company to just chill and bug squash because they make so much money without even going into full release. Once in full release they should definitely look at the consoles, its an easy port at this point after everything is said and done.

It's not enjoyable to play on my pc. I know its still in early dev but the zombies are terrible and if you fall more than 5 feet you die.

It's really really buggy and the zombies are a nuisance more than anything else. It gets really tiring having buggy zombies not do anything and kinda takes you out of the experience. The interactions are what makes the game. But it takes forever to find people sometimes. You definitely feel the sense of survival desperation though.

i think it also has a lot to do with the multiplayer component. I think having friends who play this that you're able to hook up with and run through the game together with is important. You can't simply jump in and go solo day one and get anywhere. IT seems like there's a big chance you'll end up being PK'd. Its hard to tell what will come down the road, but this game seems to be pretty vicious.
