So I just received my ps5 2 days ago. It's all good except for 1 thing. The lack of optical audio output is very frustrating. I have a nice pair of turtle beach 700s that worked great with the ps4. It's USB, plus a digital optical cable from the USB to the optical out of the ps4 and I was able to isolate the chat audio with its own dial, and the game audio with its own dial as well. Great right.
Well, since the ps5 has no optical out all the audio comes in the same speaker, and is controlled by 1 master volume dial. And it sounds like junk.
I went to best buy and bought an hdmi extractor (hdmi in to hdmi out /optical out) I thought that would allow me to enjoy the experience as I did with the ps4. But nope.
I guess what I'm asking is, is there a fix to get it like I want it to be? Are there headsets that are out for the ps5 that do this (like arctis 7?) Or something like that or do I have to just get used to it.
Anyways sorry for the long winded questions, couldn't really get answers from other searches. Much appreciated with any responses
