Cod games ps5

So as anyone paid for a COD WW2 download on the PS5 and been able to finish the game, I bought from the PlayStation online store, played ok up to the stronghold section but stops and gets no further than trying to throw the red smoke, until this is done you cannot continue the game which is very odd.
Do PlayStation try these PS4 games out before releasing them for PS5 users.
looking for comments on this, as I’m thinking of selling and going back to Xbox x.
