Hey guys, casual gamer here living in the United States. Thinking about upgrading my PS3 for a PS4 this summer. When is the best time to buy it.... meaning is there an upgraded version coming out soon? Is there a discount/price cut coming up shortly? If not, I could jump right in and buy one now, but I could hold off a few more weeks if it would benefit me in the long run.

Well there is a new version launching very soon with a 1TB hard drive so you could always get that. I haven't heard anything about price drops as of late.

The OP is in the US and the 1TB version is at the moment,coming to Europe only.We can guess it will get a US release date sometime later,but who know's.
Yes,he could always import one thats to much hassle,power difference,warranties etc etc.
No official price cut anytime soon AFAIK.
Otherwise I suggest just check local retailers,department stores etc for any special deals going.

@Oberon I think its starting to get announced in different regions. I mean India got a release date for it or it was confirmed to be coming India soon. So I think it'll start to get a release date soon for the US and to be honest I'd wait around cause chances are it'll be announced this year and probably within the next couple months.

I also want to upgrade my PS3 to PS4 but little bit confused about the procedure of up-gradation. So I am planning to consult acheter Rainbow Six Siege to come over with a solution. So that I can enjoy playing PS4 soon.
