Best and worst game on PS4

Although there aren't too many games currently released on PS4 and I think I have probably played about 50% of them what is your top 3 games and worst?

Mine are as follows

1. Battlefield 4
2. Battlefield Hardline
3. Last of us remastered

worst is Thief biggest waste of 50 quid ever

My list of favourite games for ps4
1) last of us and Bloodborne they both share number 1
2) dragon age inquisition
3) Destiny
4) tomb raider definitive edition

I have more games that I forgot about. But the least favourite would have to be call of duty Advanced warfare.

I don't really have a top 5 list or whatever.

Right now I'd probably say:

AC Black Flag
Shadow of Mordor
Far Cry 4
The Last of Us Remastered

^The above is not in any order

I suppose the games I've disliked would be a lot of the indie titles that have came free on PS+ this year. Some have been really good, I quite liked Dust an Elysians tale and a few others but for the most part I've played them a couple of times and then removed them.

1) Driveclub: an excellent single-player (and social) game for those of us who spend most their lives at work. You can play a three lap race and turn it off, no pressure to play endlessly.

2) Wolfenstein: another great "after work" game. Finally, an FPS which doesn't glamorise the Pentagon's current mis-adventures in the Middle East and Libya.

3) GTA V: an open world game for when I have too much free time.

Least favourite: Minecraft. Although I like the concept I haven't become obsessed enough to achieve anything worth mentioning.

Favourite. 1- NBA2K15 - brilliant graphics, gripping story mode for my career and plus competitive game play at my park, where you race to become a legend and play against other courts.

2 - Drive Club (just got it), totally put off by the comments from the release date but now wished I had picked this game up sooner.

Worse game? Not sure....(thinks) .....Erm...Thief (bought it, just never opened it)

I have Minecraft on PS4 and PC... PC is way better once you start putting in mods and stuff. Not a fan on the console version.

Really.. REALLY liking Bloodborne right now.

My Favorite list Includes the following:

1. Advanced Warfare - Multiplayer Only although the single player campaign wasn't the worst of the games i've played this year. It definitely wasn't challenging.
2. My second place rating ties between GTA 5 and Mortal Kombat X. Only reason for this/ reason for my rating is because I find myself spending an equal amount of time playing both. Although Mortal Kombat X may die off soon (although i'm REALLY hoping it doesn't.) I'm going to post another thread about my ideas for ways they could definitely improve this game and future games.
3. Destiny - Ahh destiny. What a solid multi-platform game. Although I still do find myself throwing this in from time-to-time. I believe I had a fair enough amount of time dedicated to the game to say it was $60 + $25-$30 (expansion. Not exactly sure how much I spent on that) = $85-$90 well spent.
4. The Crew - Although this was definitely a game that once you hit level 50, it's only fun for about 2 more hours. I can certainly say that it took me a couple weeks to get there (considering the amount of hours I logged in this time span.)
5. Diablo 3 - I mean it would've definitely been admirable to get more than 1 more act and a new character given the amount of time it took for this to drop. I still had fun with it and it's really nice to be able to kick back on a sunday when I don't exactly think I want to move from bed and play this on my playstation vs. sitting at the computer (1 of my many reasons I don't do PC games.)

As for the worst: I think we all could say (that have given the game the time of day) Laura Craft and the Temple of Osiris was absolutely horrible. I can't believe I've even let my Playstation 4 suffer having this game downloaded to its hard drive for so long. Actually come to think of it, I'm deleting this s*i%storm off my baby as we speak.

Thief really that bad?

Thief was the worst game I have ever played. Played the origenal on pc which in it's day was fun but the new version is utter rubish.

After 2 hours turned it off and decided never to play it again all you do is walk around searching draws for crap 1 out of 10

1. Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare
2. Battlefield Hardline
3. Last of us remastered
4. GTA V

Worst is Call of duty Ghost

Best:
Tomb Raider DE

Worse (...and I know everyone will throw me eggs & tomatoes):
The Last of Us

So, just in case... :grin

My go to game is battlefield hardline. I've played quite a few other games though and the best one for me was wolfenstien (gameplay + story). There's a hand full of other games that are up there too! I'm still waiting to get my socks blown off by a next gen game...Hopefully sooner than later.

Mine are
1. Last of us remastered.
2. Mortal Kombat x
3. Destiny

My three least favs are
1. Diablo 3
2. Infamous: Second sun
3. Watch Dogs

I love GTA V, so much fun so much to do
AC: Black Flag - for the same reasons as the above

I wanted to like Shadows of Mordor but ended up hating it. I was hoping for something similar to AC in regards to the world. I would have loved to roam the streets of Gondor, but literally everywhere you go is enemy territory, its really just a button masher and a horrible story that tried to make work with LOTR.

I wanted to like Farcry 4, but I think I just do not like the first person view unless it is a shooter like Call of Duty or Battlefield. When it comes to open worlds, I want 3rd person.

What was wrong with the last of us

Besides the story, which is sweet but also a bit pathetic, the game has nothing new, it's full of monsters to kill with a half dozen of weapons, there's no character customization, no weapons customization (just a poor crafting), it's not an open world, almost no interaction with the environment, it's a remastered game. Just a commercial phenomenon, praised by everybody for reasons I still have to see and to understand. So, among all PS4 games I played, this is the poorest. Of course, this is just my opinion and I know I go against the masses.

You basically described GTA and complained that last of us isnt like it. ;)
Last of us is a story based, linear action/stealth game. I think for that category it is one of the best.
Although I dont conisder Last of us a PS4 game.

Nah... I'm not that naive, Don. I can see the difference between the two games and I can know what to expect from both... and I'm not complaining at all, just commenting and trying to understand why such a boring game could amaze millions of gamers. What did I miss? I mean, what does it have so special that everyone is loving it? In my opinion, this is only a trend, the flock rule: everybody loves TLOU, therefore I must like it too. But I don't, sorry. :grin

I thought it was great, never had it on PS3 so was a bonus.

At first I thought "hey, not much game here, just running a bit pressing a button" but once the game starts 'proper' I thought it was great.
Not open world,no..but does it have to be? There is enough direction left and right etc to keep you going the right way.It works.
Weapons and characters non customizable? Again, characters in this sort of game dont need to be.Weapons? Yes,would have been a bonus but I think it still works fine with the crafting.
The main drawcard of this game is the story and the 2 main charcters,in my gaming experience not many games make you care for the characters and make wanna see whats gonna happen in the end.And this is one such game.
For me,GTA V didnt do that for its 3 main characters,GTA V did with Nico,Half Life 2 did,not much Gordon Freeman the character as it was first person view but the story, awesome.
The Last of Us did too.Its characters and story were great.
I dont think I would give it a 10/10 but defo a 9 overall.

Perhaps the story just didnt hook you for some reason Alex,or its not your type of game.
