Ask Derri

Derri

, , Darkness, ,
Since others have this thread here, I thought it would be okay to make one for myself.

Feel free to ask me anything :D

Are video games a big thing in Scotland? I suppose this is kind of relative, but here in the States practically every young male plays them.

I believe the correct term for people from Scotland is actually Scotts, not Scottish. Agree Derri? Although both are fine?

Hey Derri! Answer me this, why does my 9 year old take a higher math class then College basketball players?

Video games are quite popular in Scotland, now the population of Scotland isn't big so if we compared stats to England or elsewhere it might not look like much but yeah video games are popular in Scotland and I do have many friends who play them. Sadly Scotland is missed with a lot of gaming events e.g. very little gaming events are held within Scotland and a lot go to England instead.

Do you wear underwear under your kilt?

I've only worn a Kilt once for a wedding but no I do not wear underwear under my Kilt. True Scotsman don't do that :P

The word 'Scot' or 'Scots' is used to describe someone from Scotland as well as the word Scottish. I think the word 'Scot' to describe someone from Scotland is somewhat becoming outdated. Rarely now, does anyone use the term Scot or Scots to describe someone from Scotland because I think as the English language has evolved, the word Scot or Scots doesn't actually sound right in a sentence when describing people from Scotland.

Ultimately both are fine and I've been refereed to as Scot or Scottish and both are fine to use. I honestly don't know if the word Scot is more correct over the word Scottish. A quick google search tells me that both are politically correct to refer to someone as being Scottish or refer to the Scottish nation as a whole. They do say context is important but ultimately both are fine like you said.

I've probably given you a longer answer but I wanted to perhaps explain this as fully as possible.

Eh...The inability of Youth being able to stick with a plan? I don't know if I'm missing something here....

Derri, I feel you may be the only one in the world to answer this question for me: Summer or Winter?

In Scotland, we do not know of this thing you call summer....

In all seriousness I tend to prefer winter because I sweat a lot so ultimately I do prefer winter. I actually prefer the autumn months where its that stage between summer and winter where its not numbingly cold but isn't hot. I used to prefer summer when I was really young because I use to get out the giant paddling pool where I'd just relax in the cool water.

Guess this is a two parter.

1) Does lack of underwear help when hitting on a bridesmaid?

2) How does a gentle breeze feel?

Derri, why aren't we friends on PS4? :p

Hmmm, I have no idea? I think it could be something to do with a lapse in the space time continuum.

*Runs to PS4 and adds Haze*

How many licks does it take you to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

42 and a half exactly.

Girls are attracted to any accent from UK :p

It must be a regional thing, I'm sure girls here like foreign accents.
