Yeah the storyline in that game was similar to a storyline in a classic movie. It really caught your attention and made you think about things.I loved the Last of Us storyline. It brings into question what you would do in certain situations, makes you wonder about morality and humanity. Fascinating game.
The Last Of Us stands out to me as the obvious choice. It's certainly one of the best games I've come across in my gaming history in that respect, yet alone on the PS3. It had just about the perfect blend and I bonded very well with Joel and Ellie. Shortly after completing the game I spent many hours over the subsequent weeks trawling YouTube for fan-made videos. If any game can be a successful film – this surely has to be the one to do.
GTA5 was better than I thought it would be. I never really got into the Franklin character at all to be honest, but Trevor and Michael were superb. I was genuinely sad when the story come to an end. I do think there's a lot of potential for these two to continue on.
The latest Tomb Raider also deserves a mention…
The Metal Gear Solid games on the PS3 take the first few spots for me. Out of any series I've ever played, these are the games that really pull me into the storyline in much the same way as a film does. That amazing mix between in depth storytelling and a great gaming experience is what puts these games on top.
