The last of us is pretty good, I liked the story a lot because I always wanted to know what was going to happen next.
GTA IV has a decent story too, funny and with a couple twists.

The Assassin's Creed series goes pretty deep. I still occasionally read wikipedia articles to familiarize myself with events

I loved the Last of Us storyline. It brings into question what you would do in certain situations, makes you wonder about morality and humanity. Fascinating game.

Yeah the storyline in that game was similar to a storyline in a classic movie. It really caught your attention and made you think about things.

Lost: the video game I think had the most interesting storyline in my opinion.... though the game left a lot to be desired, the storyline was an entire few episodes of the show that the writers created and added a lot of depth to the story and was well written.

The Last Of Us stands out to me as the obvious choice. It's certainly one of the best games I've come across in my gaming history in that respect, yet alone on the PS3. It had just about the perfect blend and I bonded very well with Joel and Ellie. Shortly after completing the game I spent many hours over the subsequent weeks trawling YouTube for fan-made videos. If any game can be a successful film – this surely has to be the one to do.

GTA5 was better than I thought it would be. I never really got into the Franklin character at all to be honest, but Trevor and Michael were superb. I was genuinely sad when the story come to an end. I do think there's a lot of potential for these two to continue on.

The latest Tomb Raider also deserves a mention…

GTA V's storyline is superb. I am telling you that the GTA series is one of the best gaming series of all times. The quality of the games get better and better each year.

I haven't played it on the PS3 (played it on the 360) but Spec Ops: The Line has a interesting story. It's not a feel good kind of story, but its almost makes up for some of the sub par parts of the game.

I won't give anything away, but it can get disturbing.

The Last of Us hands down. Some runner-ups would be The Assassins Creed series, Uncharted series, and Walking Dead (telltale games version)

Fight Night Champion :) I like it because you can finish the story within a day or even just a few hours, but it's still very compelling nonetheless and the cut scenes felt necessary and was wonderfully integrated with the challenges of each stage instead of just being there for the sake of having a story.

The Walking Dead was a game with an amazing storyline, sure it was more of an actual interactive movie than a game but it was still right up there in terms of quality for me.

The Metal Gear Solid games on the PS3 take the first few spots for me. Out of any series I've ever played, these are the games that really pull me into the storyline in much the same way as a film does. That amazing mix between in depth storytelling and a great gaming experience is what puts these games on top.

Yeah, these games have a lot of writing depth and Kojima actually throws in a lot of real world war history into these games. It's a shame how this franchise doesn't really seem to get taken seriously anymore.

I've played games since before the NES days & had all consoles & I have to say, the best story with the best model acting has to be The last of us.
I was gripped. It had it's flaws, it wasn't the best game in the world. But for plot etc, I personally couldn't think of any game better.

I think the game for me that has the most interesting storyline has to be Uncharted 3. Every single time that I am playing that game I am always guessing what is going to happen next because the game is filled with so much action and exciting parts. Jumping from vehicle to vehicle, falling from airplanes man that game has it all and I really connected with the storyline and all of the characters that were in the game.

I wouldn't say most intriguing, but Red Dead Redemption's storyline has probably one of the most interesting structures in gaming history. The 3rd act really does some unexpected things and plays around with your expectations. The story itself is a typical but solid western story, but the ending is top notch stuff.

Bioshock 1 is another standout. Highly recommended.

For me it's a hard choice between Heavy Rain and Last of Us, although I think Heavy Rain is more story-centric.
